Parker Nitrogen Generator Introduces High Purity Nitrogen Generator for High Flow Food and Beverage Applications.

Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies has introduced a Nitrogen Generator which will produce commercially sterile 99.5% pure compressed nitrogen for high flow applications in the food and beverage industry.

The Parker Nitrogen Generator will completely eliminate the inconvenience and high costs of purchasing cylinders, dewars, or bulk liquid nitrogen.  There is no need to depend on outside vendors for nitrogen gas supplies.  The Parker system offers long term cost stability by eliminating uncontrollable vendor price increases, contract negotiations, long term commitments, and tank rentals.  Generating your own nitrogen gas can represent more than 50% plus savings.  Once the generator is installed, a continuous supply of consistent purity nitrogen is available within minutes from start up.

As a standard option, Parker offers an innovative Energy Efficient Control System on all PSA nitrogen gas generators.  Traditional PSA systems operate under a fixed time cycle even when customer nitrogen demand is low.  This is very wasteful since it requires compressors to produce large amounts of air to feed the PSA.  The Energy Efficient Control System (EECS) utilizes the on board nitrogen flow meter to monitor customer demand of nitrogen.  During periods of low demand, the time cycle will automatically extend which reduces the air requirement to the PSA when compared to a 60 second fixed time cycle.   This ultimately results in an energy savings since the air compressor does not have to stay continuously loaded requiring less kilo-watt consumed by the compressor.  As an added benefit, valve life can also be extended since the valves are switching less.  This can represent more than 25% energy savings.

The nitrogen generation process takes the air we breath and recovers the nitrogen via PSA or Membrane technology utilizing a high efficiency air compressor to produce the nitrogen gas at the required flow, purity and outlet pressure.  More than 85% of the power used to generate the nitrogen can be recovered by offering an energy recovery type system with a water-cooled air compressor (the electric energy used is transformed into heat).
